Kony 2012
The whole premise of Kony 2012 is to stop Joseph Kony from doing what he has been doing for over ten years. Abducting children, making girls sex slaves, boys soldiers, and forcing them to mutilate and kill their families. It is easy to think it is only a few people, but now the number is 30,000. This is all happening right now, as we speak, and we are only now finding out about it. In order to take Kony down, we have to make him known. It is easy to say we need to do something, but there is something about the community coming as one with a common purpose to help people, and now, it is time. It makes you feel like you are a part of something wonderful, and it excites me to think that we can all be a part of this common goal.

Portrait Photographers
Andy Warhol was not only a photographer, but a world renown and sometimes a controversial artist. He is credited with discovering and inventing "popism". In portraiture, he likes to shoot straight on, generally having his subject as a repetitious element and vivid, dynamic colors with stark juxtaposition against one another.
Everything in this photograph is so detailed. I love how the lighting captures the shadows on the right side of her face. The yellow background with her eyes, and the red lips with her chest all compliment each other very nicely. They are stark yet not overwhelming colors.
My favorite thing about this photograph is the lighting. It creates such nice shadows and the hands holding the frame adds such depth and texture.
My favorite thing about this photograph is the composition. Most of Warhol's work is framed going from right to left, and I enjoy how this photo goes from top to bottom. This picture makes me curious about this guys story.
My favorite thing about this photo is the diversity he managed to capture without making it busy. I love how he took them all from the same angle, yet each photo is unique.
This is classic Andy Warhol. In looking through his pictures, he has so much of this style. All of the colors tie in together yet apart from each other clash. My favorite thing about this photo are the colors.
